Fremont Area Historical Society
The first meeting of the Fremont Area Historical Society was on August 27, 1998. The Society is regisistered with the Wisconsin State Historical Society. Meetings are on the last Monday of each month at 6:00pm in the Old Beaver Dam School (former Town of Fremont Town Hall), on Highway 96 in Fremont. The business meeting is followed by a program of a historical topic. Meetings are enjoyable and the public is welcome.
- Preservation/Research of the area including: Fremont, East Bloomfield, Metz, Hatton, Zittau, Orihula, Evanswood, and Gills Landing. They also support the recreation of the Yellow Stone Trail.
